Duck River Music (DRM) provides a place for songwriters to submit their original songs. We welcome both experienced writers and those of you who are just beginning. Our goal is to let young writers freely express themselves through their songs.
Our company is named after the Duck River, located in middle Tennessee. The Duck is the longest river that flows completely within the state. Except for the Normandy Lake and Dam at it’s beginning, there is no other flood control on this river. So, the Duck runs wild and free. It can and does flood its banks during heavy rainy seasons. In a similar manner, Duck River’s music can be uninhibited.
DRM offers you the freedom to express yourself in ways that the music world may not be using today. We only ask that your lyrics “would do unto others as you would have them to do unto you “ to avoid problems of being unnecessarily offensive to others.
DRM is a music publishing company. We are accepting positive commercial songs for publication in the following genres: Christian, Country, Latin, Jewish, Pop and Rock. We also accept Spanish language songs. Duck River will work with writers as young as fifteen with your parents approval.
